I am the Rain Queen

Also on Friday, George, this old guy I work with, cut himself in the eye with a thistle. He was pretty embarrassed and even though I knew exactly what to do and had all the first aid stuff ready to go, he would not let me near him, even to look at it. He was like, "Just hand me the gauze!" I was finally like, "Ok, fine, but don't you dare rub at it!" He took the gauze and immediately began to rub at it. AAARGH! Andy, my leadhand, took him to the medicenter even though he did not want to go. Fool. I do hope he's ok though. I am disappointed I didn't get to put my knowledge to use.

Delle and I went out Friday for drinks. We went to Whyte Ave. Forgetting that it was the Street Performers Festival and hunted for parking for about 20 minutes. We finally parked in an Imperial Park for $2 for the evening and went merrily on our way. At the Savoy she had some super alcohol girly drink and I had a beer. We shared fries that came with ranch flavored mayonnaise (I hate mayo on fries but it was actually good) and spiced ketchup. We got back to my car at about 10:30pm to find a parking ticket on the windshield. It makes NO SENSE because I know I paid for the whole night. I wrote them a letter today to dispute it so hopefully they will be reasonable people and I won't have to pay $37.45 for something I did not do. And if they are unreasonable about it, well, I'm perfectly content to run from Imperial Park for the rest of my life. Run Shella, Run! Even seen "Run Lola, Run!"? See it!

Then I went to a surprise Bday party for some friend of Alex's where a rather robust girl jumped out of cake and did a little dance... it was rather amusing. Though, I think that had she been super hot and totally skinny with huge boobs and a perfect body I would have been offending. I'll have to explore that misconceived notion of mine later when there's more time to dissect myself. It was fun.

Saturday night Alex and I went to Pigeon Lake and met his best friend and his girlfriend there for his girlfriend's friend's Bday. Holy, hope that makes sense. There were about 8 of us there and we sat around the fire, talked, shared ghost stories. It was a very good time. Laid back and cool. However, Sunday was supposed to be as nice at Saturday and I hoped to kick back with a book on the beach. Nope, cloudy, overcast. Every weekend Alex and I go to camp we bring the rain and shitty weather with us. On the drive home, it began to pour. Upon returning to The Bubble (Sherwood Park) I turned on the boob tube to find there was a tornado warning for the area we had just come from and a sever thunderstorm warning for Sherwood Park, Edmonton and St. Albert. The hail poured down and there was some crazy lightning. I am the Rain Queen.

Just got word from Cathaleen and she is coming home Tuesday! Or maybe she's leaving Tuesday? She had fun but is ready to come back and I can't wait! Things were going so well between us before she left that I'm eager to continue with that. Next weekend I'm going to The Street Performers Festival and Art Walk that Amy's Mama is in, so maybe she'll join me? And Alex too? And whoever else wants to join my band of gypsies. Oh to be a gypsy... how romantic!

Haha! I did a spell check and the word "boobies" is in the dictionary but "boobs" is not! Boobies! HA!
