Everything Happens For a Reason

timo emailed me about a month ago with a quick update about his life. i emailed him back with a quick update about mine. that was that. he emailed me this weekend to say he was in town if i felt like going for coffee. i emailed back saying i was too busy. it's funny, he hurt me, i do forgive him now as it's all irrelevant to the present, and even though he hurt me and i have no desire to see him, i still remain polite and say "i'm busy." i guess i don't have any reason to be a bitch though. and then today, i'm on msn, where i have not seen timo for years and was unaware he was even still on my list, and he goes online. polite convo ensues. he's pissed and heartbroken because jenny dumped him. hmm. must hurt. i'm polite. sympathetic. afterall, it does hurt. and i do feel bad for him. i tell him everything happens for a reason and that it's important to remember that. he flirts with him, tells me my picture looks really good, asks about my love life. i tell him i'm very taken and extremely happy and that alex is awesome. he asks if by taken i mean engaged. i say no, but i'm sure it will happen in due time. he says, he was sure too. he asks, "so are you saying that by me dumping you you then met the love of your life?" i say, "ya, everything happens for a reason." he says, "then you owe me big!"

joking or not, i don't owe you a thing.
