i'm pretty sick and tired of hearing about university people tell me how stressful it is that they 2, 3, sometimes 4 exams to go in the period of 1-2 weeks with time off prior to and during to study for each. granted, i have been there and i know that it is stressful... at the time. i just wish some news company would cover the stressful life of NAIT students. how it is at NAIT, is that anyone in a medical science course must pass everything! a pass mark is 60%. there is no curve to save your ass if you don't do so hot. you're mark is your own and no one else will drag you down or pull you up. all finals are worth 35-40% and if i fail a course (below 60%) i cannot go on to next year. "well, just retake that course!" you say. well, i can't just retake that course. if i fail a course, i have to retake my whole first year. so in conclusion, suck it up all you whiny university students! i know how much free time you have during the day after only going to 3 hours of class. if you pissed it away, maybe you deserve what you're getting now. i go to class for 8 hours every weekday except tuesdays, where i go for 5. i have 7 finals back to back. i cannot repeat a class. you can. the world will not end because of one course. you have an infinite amount of time to finish your degree. i can either keep up or get out, i only have 3 years.
everyone, good luck on your exams. me included!
i might go to grey nuns hospital to study in the library today. but, i'll see how it goes at home. time to get on schedule.
