Dear Not Prompt Girl:
I really don't mind the nonpromptness as there have been many many times where my reply time has been lacking. Though it is frustrating to open up the inbox and see no new email (you, alex and delle are really the only people who ever email me) it makes the times when I do get a message from you so much more exciting! I do my happy dance! And yell, "SHE REMEMBERED ME!" Not quite, but I do often pump my fists in the air.
I've been working on a project for the last 2 weeks about Lung Volumes and Techniques to measure them. I finished my powerpoint and posters and practiced the thing last night. It takes me 12 minutes to present and my group only gets a total of 30 minutes! Oh well. Today my groups assured me that their's will be shorter than that. I hope so. And I hope if we go over that my teacher doesn't pull the plug! I present first in my group so my teacher wouldn't be pulling the plug on me, but rather on somebody else. I would feel so bad!
I'm sitting here bopping to Badly Drawn Boy and downloading stuff by The Streets. I think I have heard them before, but I really don't remember. There are so many cds I want right now. There are even more cds I owe artists money on because I downloaded them months ago. I promise I will buy them as soon as I have the money.
Top 10 cds that are worth buying:
1) The Metric - Old World Underground, Where Are You Now?
2) The Killers - Hot Fuss
3) Franz Ferdinand - (self titled)
4) Elliott Smith - From a Basement of A Hill
5) Sam Roberts - We Were Born in a Flame & The Inhuman Condition
6) Interpol - Turn on the Bright Lights & Antics
7) Jack Johnson - On and One & In Between Dreams.
8) Flaming Lips - Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots
9) The Stills - Logic Will Break Your Heart
10) The Shins - Shutes Too Narrow (a maybe one this one)
11) The Streets! I have totally heard these guys and I LOVE THEM! Dry Your Eyes! I know this song! GRRROOOOVVVVYYYY!
See what happens when you are a student? You stop buying the things that matter and only buy the stupid shit you can't afford, like food, because it's more convenient and your warped little mind someone things it's more important that happiness in sound!
Matt is taking me out for my Birthday present tonight. I do not know what we are going to do. All I know is I'm excited! I'd better stop that before I get disappointed. It's an early Birthday present, but I like that. It spread out the fun! I have a new shirt that found me for $10 at the mall yesterday, so I will wear that. I think I will wear that same shirt to do my presentation in on Friday too. It's too bad I don't have a Jon Deere t-shirt. I think I would get bonus marks from my teacher if I did beause he is a huge fan. So am I actually, but there has never been opportunity to discuss this.
School today felt like a huge waste of time. I had 2 hours of class, lunch and then 2 hours of lab. well, the first 2 hours of class were spent reviewing a test and then watching a movie which only took up 1 hour. So she let us go.. a whole hour early! then i had a dreadfully lunch (lunch at NAIT is uber boring. unlike Uni, NAIT has no cool people to watch). In lab, I had already covered the ventilators we are doing, so we just did whatever for an hour and then our teacher told us we could leave. grrr. I like going early, don't get me wrong, but I hate getting up early in the morning for school only to leave and feel like it was a huge waste of my time.
I need to get to the gym too! I have not run in 8 days now! That's huge. I bet that once I get back out there, I will have lost all the progress I have made. That makes me so sad because I was running 5 km before I got this bloody chest cold. Oh well. I realize how important it is for an asthmatic to really take it easy when they get a chest cold. Death could result otherwise. I have signed up to run a 5km race on May 8th. It's a fundraiser for The Stollery Children's Hospital to buy a brand new Baby Drager Ventilator. It'll be great. My first race and I'm going to do it so well.
Anyhow, you take care now. Take over the world.
Signed,
More Prompt Than You
